澳门威斯尼斯人国际(中国)有限公司学院依托热区、面向全国、辐射南亚东南亚，主要培养热区现代特色农业、康养旅游、民族文化传承与创新等应用型人才。学院坐落在“世界茶源、中国咖啡之都”的普洱市，占地1200余亩，有国家级实训基地1个，省级示范基地8个，校内实训基地3个，校外实训基地62个，校外实训基地面积608亩。学院现有全日制在校学生8000余人，成人函授学生在籍530余人，教职工279人，其中高级职称51人，硕士及以上学历121人，硕士生导师6人、省级教学名师3人、云南现代农业产业体系岗位专家1人、云南高原特色产业促进会专家团顾问2人。

学院重视教学与科研工作，教学科研成果不断取得新突破，2020年申报并获准新增林业专业学位硕士点培育，新增2个省级工程中心；获省部级以上科技进步奖4项，校级教学成果奖2项。围绕学校加快推进“双一流”建设目标，学院进一步深化体制机制改革，构筑优势学科平台，成功申报国家级平台2个，省级平台5个，校级平台1个，各级各类科研项目294项。获批专利57项，其中发明专利3项。出版著作67本，发表论文400余篇，其中SCI收录1篇、EI收录4篇、核心期刊88篇。派遣三区科技人员86人，培训农民3000余人次。与政府、企业和其它高校合作，签订合作协议59份；开展服务地方经济、服务三农的技术培训，参与培训人数8000余人。

学院设有6个教学部门，开办农学（热带作物方向）、食品科学与工程、中草药栽培与鉴定、电子商务、秘书学等13个应用本科专业、19个专科专业和土木工程、经济学、电子商务等9个专升本专业。学院注重毕业生就业创业能力培养，通过开展职业技能训练、创业体验与实践、升学辅导与培训、引进知名企业等工作，不断提升学生的就业创业竞争能力。近5年来，学院每年指导（孵化）学生实现自主创业项目平均为9.2个，创新创业项目每年平均立项155项，组织学生参加国、省、地厅级创新创业、职业技能大赛获奖71项，2020年学院热区众创空间被云南省科技厅认定为“云科众创空间”。

学院多年来深入推进“产教融合、实践育人”人才培养模式，以行业岗位职业能力和职业素养为导向，突出实践教学，着重培养学生创新精神，强化学生实践能力训练。发挥校企合作优势，积极推进人才培养模式改革，优化课程体系，注重学生应用能力培养和创新能力的提高，努力培养新时代热区高素质复合型技术技能人才。

Relying on the hot zone, facing the whole country and radiating to South and Southeast Asia, the College of Tropical Crops of Yunnan Agricultural University mainly cultivates applied talents in modern special agriculture, recreation and tourism, ethnic culture inheritance,and innovation in the hot zone. The college is located in Pu'er City, "the source of tea in the world and the capital of coffee in China,"covering an area of 1200 acres, with 1 national training base, 8 provincial demonstration bases, 3 on-campus training bases, 62 off-campus training bases and 608 acres of off-campus training bases. The college has more than 7000 full-time students, more than 530 adult correspondence students, 279 teaching staff, including 51 with senior titles, 121 with master's degree or above, 6 master's tutors, 3 provincial teaching masters, 1 post expert of Yunnan Modern Agricultural Industry System, and 2 consultants of Yunnan Highland Special Industries Promotion Association Expert Group.

The College of Tropical Crops attaches great importance to teaching and scientific research and has achieved new breakthroughs in teaching and scientific research. In 2020, the College declared and was approved to add thenew master's degree in forestry and two new provincial engineering centers; it won four scientific and technological progress awards at the provincial and ministerial levels and two teaching achievement awards at the university level. Around the school to accelerate the "double first-class" construction goals, the college further deepenedthe reform of institutional mechanisms, the construction of advantageous discipline platform, successfully declared two national platforms, five provincial platforms, university-level platform 1, 294 various scientific research projects at all levels.Fifty-sevenpatents were granted, including 3 invention patents, published 67 books and more than 400 papers, including 1 SCI, 4 EI,and 88 core journals. Dispatched 86 scientific and technical personnel from three regions and trained more than 3,000 farmers. Cooperate with the government, enterprises,and other universities and sign 59 cooperation agreements; carry out technical training to serve the local economy and the three rural areas, involving more than 8,000 people in training.

The College of Tropical Crops has 6 teaching departments. Itoffers 13 applied undergraduate majors, 19 specialized majors,and 9 specialized undergraduate majors in civil engineering, economics,and e-commerce, such as agronomy (tropical crops direction), food science and engineering, herbal medicine cultivation and identification, e-commerce,and secretarial science. The college pays attention to the training of graduates' employment and entrepreneurial ability. Itconstantly improves students' employment andcompetitive entrepreneurialability by carrying out vocational skills training, entrepreneurial experience and practice, counseling and training for further studies, and introducing famous enterprises. In the past 5 years, the college has guided (incubated) students to achieve an average of 9.2 independent entrepreneurial projects each year, 155 innovation and entrepreneurship projects each year, and organized students to participate in national, provincial,and local innovation and entrepreneurship and vocational skills competitions to win 71 awards. In 2020, the College's hot zone crowdsourcing space was recognized by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology as "Cloud Science Crowdsourcing Space."
